Local and Regional Performers Will Beguile Attendees Before the Fourth of July Fireworks Show

6:00 pm – Event Opens – DJ Scott and Kosair for Kids family activities begin

6:45 pm – Opening Ceremonies and National Anthem performed by D’Corey Johnson

The talent showcase, produced in partnership with Jou Jou Presents, is an opportunity to celebrate the diversity of talents from all communities that use and appreciate Waterfront Park in honor of 25 years of community support and engagement.

The showcase will feature over 25 singers, musicians, dancers, bands, and other performing artists of all ages and genres.

Family-friendly activities designed for a variety of interests including science, music, art and nature will be offered from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the children’s activity area sponsored by Kosair for Kids.

The event will also include an interactive equipment display by Louisville Metro Police, Fire, and EMS, bounce houses, and a foam party.

GLCLC Cool Down Station:  10 members of The Greater Louisville Central Labor Council and 3 affiliated supporters of Labor have joined together to honor first responders and military veterans by providing a cool down station for the public at the event.  Visitors are invited to stop by the tent for fans and ice-cold water. Participating GLCLC members include the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers ( I.B.E.W. Local 369), United Auto Workers (U.A.W. Local 862), Teamsters Local 89, Teamsters Local 783, Jefferson County Teachers Association (J.C.T.A.),  United Food and Commercial Workers (U.F.C.W. 227), International Union of Electrical Workers – Communications Workers of America (IUE-CWA 83-761), Laborers International Union of North America (LIUNA No 576), The United Association of Plumbers, Pipefitters and Service Technicians (UA Local 502), and United Auto Workers (UAW Local 3058) and supporting organizations Speedwash, Build My Place and James Collins Downtown Ford. 

Vendors will include local food trucks and festival favorites including corn dogs and funnel cakes.

Libations served will include Brown-Forman products Old Forester and El Jimador Silver at the bar as well as Coors Lite and White Claw among other offerings.

Fireworks at 10pm sponsored by partnering Labor Organizations and their affiliates.

Items which are prohibited:

Glass, coolers, fireworks, pets, outside food and alcohol, amplification devices, signage larger than 24” x 24”, bicycling, operating electric scooters and skateboarding inside the event are prohibited. There will be bicycle racks to lock up bicycles on site. Unopened bottles of water are permitted.
