LVA Art Camp at Waterfront Park
ATTENTION parents and caregivers: Louisville Visual Arts and Waterfront Park invite campers aged 7 to 12 to experience art in nature this summer. This day camp will offer art instruction, fresh air, greenspace, a splash park, playgrounds, and more ART!
LVA Artist Instructors will guide campers through Waterfront Park’s art, wildlife, and history, while campers will create paintings, drawings, sculptures and more, inspired by their own observations and nature. A ride on the riverboat “Mary M. Miller” (who was the first female steamboat captain) is included in the camp, as well as a visit to Abraham Lincoln by Ed Hamilton and to the Flock of Finns by Marvin Finn, both local artists.
The dates for the day camp are July 8-12, and the cost is $265 for the week. The hours are 9:30am-4pm.
