Waterfront Park is the place where Louisville comes together.
Once an industrial eyesore, our waterfront is now the most vibrant and diverse space in our city hosting over 2.2 million visitors annually. This year, Waterfront Park is proud to celebrate the tenth anniversary of one of our park’s beloved symbols: The Big Four Bridge.
More than ten years ago, the Big Four Bridge was an inaccessible, decommissioned rail bridge known as the ‘Bridge to Nowhere.’ Then, ten years ago in 2013, Waterfront Park gave the bridge new life- transforming it into the beloved community symbol and destination it is known as today. From the stunning views to nightly lights display, the Big Four Bridge provides a unique no-cost way for visitors to be physically active, connect with one another and enjoy our cityscape.
But while the Big Four Bridge is free to enjoy, it is not free to maintain. We need your help to preserve the Big Four Bridge and Waterfront Park for future generations.
Help us celebrate this milestone anniversary by supporting Waterfront Park during Give for Good. From $10 to $1000, your contribution ensures our park will continue to be the place where Louisville comes together for generations to come.
Thank you so much for your support!
