Bicentennial of Lafayette’s Farewell Tour

In 1825 on May 12, General Lafayette was greeted in Louisville, Ky. This will be a commemoration, education and celebration of that visit. A professional Lafayette re-enactor from Colonial Williamsburg will be welcomed and will speak to Louisville. Historic re-enactors will speak briefly along with any dignitaries. The U.S. Old Guard Fife and Drum Corp will perform, the National Anthem and le Marseilles will be sung. Lafayette may answer a few questions particularly from students attending this event.
