Winter Weather

Waterfront Park remains open and is a beautiful place to visit during all four seasons.  Please be aware of the following when planning your visit during winter months:    

When snow and ice are in the forecast, please use caution. Park paths, including the Big Four Bridge and its ramp will not be treated with salt or chemicals, as these can harm vegetation and shorten the life of park infrastructure.  Our dedicated maintenance team is on-site daily to clear paths as quickly as possible during snow events, ice will melt naturally.  The Big Four Bridge will close when conditions are slick and it is not plowed during icy weather.

Restrooms and water fountains are closed for the winter season and will reopen in the spring. There are portable restroom facilities in some parking lots.  Our seasonal vendors have closed for the winter months.
