Summer Starts Here at Waterfront Park

Dear Friends of Waterfront Park,
Event season is officially in full swing, and it only gets busier from here. Before we look ahead, I have to say what a night Sailing Into Summer was! Thank you to everyone who came out to support Waterfront Park while enjoying an evening of good music, food, and comradery. It’s one of my favorite evenings of the year, and seeing our waterfront full of happy people is always a meaningful reminder of why we do what we do. Every ticket sold helps us keep this space vibrant, welcoming, and accessible for generations to come.
That spirit of bringing people together continues throughout June, a month filled with cultural energy. As we celebrate Cuba Mía, Juneteenth, and Pride, it’s inspiring to see Waterfront Park alive with activity and welcoming all of Louisville. And few moments capture that better than the Fourth of July at Waterfront Park on the TurfMutt Great Lawn, which brings people from throughout the community together for our free, family-friendly celebration. From children’s activities, a curated blend of live music, and fireworks over the river, the event is a reflection of the heart and soul of our community and is only possible thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors.
We can’t wait to celebrate the rest of the summer with you on the waterfront.
