Showing Big LOVE for the Big Four!

A message from our Executive Director, Deborah Bilitski:

Expressions of love are everywhere this month and that is one of the reasons we love February. We are so grateful for our community of dedicated Waterfront Park supporters. Thank you for demonstrating your passion for public space as you voted for Waterfront Park as the Best Riverwalk in the US. We love the recognition by USA Today and are honored to have had the opportunity to share our waterfront story with the rest of the country.

This month also marks the beginning of the tenth anniversary of the Big Four Bridge. The Big Four Bridge is a testament to the value of public spaces. What was once a decommissioned rail bridge that was nicknamed the ‘Bridge To Nowhere’ is now a celebrated community asset that sees millions of visitors throughout the year. This month, while we consider the many ways we express our love to one another, I encourage you to remember all the places that make our waterfront so special.

As for all of us here at Waterfront Park, we love our park supporters, and we can’t wait to see what else we accomplish together in the future.
