Help Keep Waterfront Park The #1 Riverwalk In The Country

A message from our Executive Director, Deborah Bilitski:

Dear Friends of Waterfront Park,

If the frozen river and visiting ring-billed gulls weren’t quite enough to draw you to our Waterfront during the frigid stretch of winter, warmer days and a full slate of spring events should do the trick. Derby season is quickly approaching, and Waterfront Park is gearing up for one of our busiest and most exciting stretches of the year. From the PNC Tour de Lou on April 12 to the long-awaited return of Thunder Over Louisville on April 18 and the first Waterfront Wednesday of 2026 on April 22, the park is about to come alive with community energy.

We’re proud to once again be nominated for Best Riverwalk in the Country, and we’re aiming to defend our title as the #1 Riverwalk in America. Your votes help shine a national spotlight on the place our community already knows and loves. Vote daily with the link in the newsletter below and help us keep our well-deserved place at the top!

Waterfront Park continues to be a source of pride and a place where our community comes together. Our partners at the TurfMutt Foundation found that 75% of Americans say public parks are a deciding factor when choosing where to live, proof that a great park is more than an amenity alone. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, this park remains a welcoming, thriving space for everyone, and your continued support helps ensure it stays that way for generations to come.
