Pig Beach BBQ is excited to host an incredible fundraising event in support of Operation BBQ Relief (OBR) on Friday, April 12th, 2024 from 12pm to 5pm at Pig Beach BBQ Louisville located on Louisville’s Waterfront Park. Pig Beach is teaming up with OBR to raise funds for their campaign to expand services in our region and across the state of Kentucky. The event is family-friendly and open to the public. During the event, guests will be able to enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch provided by Pig Beach BBQ for a donation of their choice that will be donated 100% back to OBR.

Armed with a fleet of cooks, mobile pits, kitchens, and volunteers, Operation BBQ Relief delivers the Healing Power of BBQ to disaster-affected communities, offering solace to residents, first responders, and relief workers. Over the last decade, OBR has served over 10 million meals the all over different parts of the country, but recently they have been extremely impactful in their efforts supporting areas in our backyard like Maysville, Hazzard and Appalachia.

The event will provide an opportunity for the community to connect with Operation BBQ Relief and also engage with our local first responders, including the Louisville Metro Police Department, Louisville Fire Department, Emergency Medical Services and Emergency Management Agency. Attendees will have the chance to see emergency vehicles and equipment up close and have a better understanding and appreciation for the work these organizations do to keep our community safe.
