Dear Friends of Waterfront Park,
For nearly three decades, Waterfront Park has welcomed millions of visitors, families, and children to Louisville’s riverfront. As some of our oldest park spaces approach 28 years of continuous use, we have turned our attention to refreshing and renewing the areas that have brought joy to generations of guests.
That need has become especially critical in two beloved play destinations. Earlier this year, we were forced to remove the central tower from the original Children’s Playground after it became structurally unsound. At the same time, the Adventure Playground and Splash Park, one of the most heavily used and cherished areas of the park, is showing its age and is in serious need of updates and improvements.
This year’s Give for Good Louisville campaign will focus on raising the funds needed to restore and revitalize these treasured areas so they can continue serving visitors for years to come.
