DERBY FESTIVAL POSTPONES EVENTS UNTIL LATER IN THE YEAR

It is with an abundance of caution and based on new recommendations surrounding COVID-19, we have decided to postpone the 2020 Kentucky Derby Festival.

We are fortunate that we have many great partners and community-minded sponsors who will continue to work with us and help us put on a Derby Festival celebration like no other, once we get through this. The schedule may look a little different as we move things into a new timeframe, but our goal is to have Thunder Over Louisville, the miniMarathon, the Pegasus Parade, Fest-a-Ville and the Chow Wagon, and many other events in between.

The new date for Thunder is set for Saturday, August 15. There are a lot of moving parts, as you can imagine, and once we get all the details finalized, we will release a new schedule with other event dates.

We know there will be questions about registration, tickets and refunds. We just ask that everyone be patient as we work to get things rescheduled.

For those who have purchased a Pegasus Pin, please hold on to those, you’ll be able to use them again in a few months. And, don’t worry we’ll have plenty for those who didn’t get one just yet.

We appreciate the loyalty of this community, our volunteers, our sponsors and our partners. We couldn’t put on the Festival each year without you!
