Join us at Waterfront Park for a uniquely Louisville Fourth of July celebration as part of the A250 commemoration, honoring 250 years of American spirit through music, culture, and community.
This free event on the TurfMutt Great Lawn features a full evening of family-friendly activities, local food and beverage, and a dynamic lineup of live performances curated by the Kentucky Performing Arts and produced by Jou Jou Presents. From gospel and Appalachian traditions to Latin fusion, Americana, and soul, the evening showcases the sounds that continue to shape American music.
Guests can explore interactive experiences and enjoy a wide variety of food and drink offerings, including Brown-Forman bars.
The night concludes at 10:00 PM with Louisville’s A250 Fireworks Show, an expanded display over the Ohio River celebrating the spirit, creativity, and community that define our region.

A spectacular fireworks display over the Ohio River celebrating 250 years of American spirit through the lens of Louisville’s culture, music, and community.
Family Fun Area (5:00 PM – 9:00 PM)
Families can enjoy a wide variety of engaging, hands-on activities designed for children of all ages, including:
- Science experiments presented by the Kentucky Science Center
- Music education activities led by Jug Band Jubilee
- A special appearance by Catfish Louie, Friends of Waterfront Park mascot.
- Interactive equipment displays from Louisville Metro Police and Louisville Fire Department
- Foam party experience
- Mini putt-putt golf
- Face painting and bounce houses
- Antique Military Equipment Display by KILROY- (Kentucky Liberated Relics Of Yesteryear) Inc.

Turf Mutt Great Lawn is located at 231 E Witherspoon Street
Road Closures: WitherspoonStreet between Brook and Preston Street will close at 4:00 PM.
Parking is available in:
- Wharf/Blue Parking Lot, Purple, Lincoln, Red, Silver, Tan, Turquoise, and Yellow parking lots at Waterfront Park
- Surface lot across from the TurfMutt Great Lawn
- Humana Parking Garage
- Street Parking along River Road
Bicycle Parking : Bicycle racks will be available on-site.
