Golden Sunsets, Calm Waters, and New Adventures Await

A message from our Executive Director, Deborah Bilitski:

Dear Friends of Waterfront Park,

It’s hard to believe we’re already halfway through August. Time flies, but here at Waterfront Park, the Ohio River offers a gentle reminder to slow down. August is often when the river is at its most calm, its surface almost like a mirror. On some evenings, the sunset casts a magical golden glow across the water, reminding us to pause and take in the beauty of the world around us. Come experience the magic for yourself at Waterfront Park, where calm waters and golden sunsets are waiting to be enjoyed.

This month we are excited to introduce Wag N Watch, a brand-new, dog-friendly movie night on the TurfMutt Great Lawn that’s sure to become a fan favorite for pups and people alike. Creative, community-centered events like this are only possible because of supporters like you.

Looking ahead, Give for Good Louisville returns on September 18. This annual day of giving is a powerful opportunity to support Waterfront Park and help keep it vibrant, welcoming, and accessible to all. Here’s how you can help:

Save the date: September 18
Spread the word to friends and family
Make a donation: Every gift, big or small, makes a lasting impact

Thank you for being part of our Waterfront Park community. We’re so grateful for your support and we can’t wait to see what we’ll create together next.
