Fall is Around the Corner at Waterfront Park
A message from our Executive Director, Deborah Bilitski:
Dear Friends of Waterfront Park,
I want to start with a thank you. Thanks to your generosity during this year’s Give for Good Louisville campaign, we raised over $87,000 from more than 220 donors, an important step toward meeting our annual operating needs. Each year, we must raise and generate the majority of the park’s operating budget, which is why your support plays a vital role in keeping the park free, beautiful, and welcoming for all.
This year, we celebrated the grand opening of PlayPort and were honored to be named Best Riverwalk in America. These milestones show the power of what we can achieve together.
Looking ahead, your support not only helps us maintain and improve our space, but it also fuels our next big chapter: the continued Phase IV Westward Expansion, which will add 18 additional acres of open space and amenities. As you see the park being cared for or join us for one of our free events, know that your support makes that possible. That is the true impact of your generosity. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to connecting our community to the river, and your continued support keeps that mission alive.
Whether you donated during the Give for Good campaign last week or at another time throughout the year, we simply cannot overstate our appreciation. Community pride and generosity are what make Waterfront Park the heart of our city.
